International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression

On August 19, 1982, during a special session dedicated to the Palestinian issue, the UN General Assembly declared itself "upset by the large number of innocent Palestinian and Lebanese children victims of acts of violence perpetrated by Israel". On that occasion, the General Assembly, with resolution ES-7/8, established the International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression, to be celebrated on June 4 of each year to affirm the United Nations commitment to the protection of human rights. children.
The goal of the day is to raise awareness and acknowledge the pain that affects children around the world who are victims of physical, mental and emotional abuse. The United Nations effort to protect children's rights was constant and led to the adoption of a convention and subsequent resolutions.
