
International Day of Happiness





The International Day of Happiness is celebrated around the world on March 20. It was established on 28 June 2012 by the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN).
Resolution A / RES / 66/281 of the UN Assembly defines that:
«The General Assembly [...] aware that the pursuit of happiness is a fundamental aim of humanity, [...] also recognizing a more inclusive, equitable and balanced approach to economic growth that promotes sustainable development, the 'eradication of poverty, the happiness and well-being of all people, decides to proclaim March 20 the International Day of Happiness, invites all member states, organizations of the United Nations system, and other international and regional bodies, as well as civil society, including non-governmental organizations and individuals, to celebrate the International Day of Happiness in an appropriate manner, including through educational activities to raise public awareness [...] "
