International Student Day
International Student Day is a student celebration, held annually on November 17 to claim the right to education and students' right to express themselves. The date is the anniversary of the Nazi massacres of Czechoslovakian students and professors who opposed the Nazi war. Many universities celebrate the anniversary, sometimes on a day other than November 17, with a different meaning to the original one, that is, as a celebration of the multiculturalism of international students.
November 17 was declared for the first time International Student Day in 1941 in London by the International Union of Students, which was also composed of many refugees, in agreement with the allies, and the tradition was then carried out by the International Union of Students, which together with the European Students' Union presses for the day to become an official UN anniversary.
