Nelson Mandela Day
The Nelson Mandela International Day or Mandela Day is an international day of celebration in honor of Nelson Mandela, celebrated on 18 July (Mandela's birthday).
This day was declared by the United Nations in November 2009, with the first UN Mandela Day celebrated on 18 July 2010. In any case, some groups began celebrating already in 2009.
