World day against human trafficking





Human trafficking is a crime that sees men, women and children victims of serious forms of exploitation, including forced labor and sexual exploitation.
The International Labor Organization (ILO) estimates that 21 million people are victims of forced labor, including victims of sexual exploitation. This phenomenon affects all countries, be they countries of origin, transit or destination of the victims.
According to the report on human trafficking of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), almost a third of the victims are minors. Furthermore, 71% of the total is made up of women and girls.
