21 June
World SLA Day

June 21 is World Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Day (ALS), the neurodegenerative disease that affects 400 thousand people worldwide. Only in Italy, there are more than 6000 people who suffer from it.
These figures, however, rather than being reduced, will tend to rise by over 32%, especially in industrialized countries. This was stated by an Italian-American study that involved the Centro Sla delle Molinette in Turin and the NIH in Bethesda.
